You bind your soul to the Obelisks in the towns and villages where you visit for a fee. The Obelisk is a stone filled with Aetheric energy, which takes an imprint of the soul. You can bind to an Obelisk, and teleport back there from anywhere in Atreia using the Return Skill. There is a form of the Obelisk called a Portable Obelisk that will temporarily allow the same powers.

After being defeated in battle, you will be resurrected at the Obelisk where you are bound. Albeit that you will suffer from Soul Sickness, which can be cured for a small fee by a Soul Healer. Soul Healer’s are always located next to an Obelisk.
