In the darkest reaches of Atreia you may wish to have the aid of your associates. Those who form Legions will know the full benefits of team work and survival, and will reap the rewards unavailable to those who wish to face these dangers alone.

You enter into a Legion in one of two ways: you can be invited or you can create your own.

If the above conditions are satisfied, enter the desired name of new Legion. The name will be verified to check whether the same name exists for another Legion, and if so, the establishment will be cancelled. Also when the entered name doesn’t follow the rules (the same rules with character name creation), the establishment will be cancelled.

Enter the name and click CONFIRM, the Legion is established and the founder automatically becomes the Commander (Legion Master). When a Legion is created or joined by a character, the character automatically puts on a cloak with the Legion Emblem. This emblem can be changed through Legion Emblem Officer NPC (located right next to Legion Creation Officer). However, all Legion members subject to Legion Level and Legion level 2 or higher is allowed to change the emblem and level 3 or higher can register the emblem that they crafted.

In Aion, a Legion represents players who band together to fight against the other race. Low-level Legions go through developmental stages for companionship purposes. Also, it is a basic unit for big scale contents (Fortress siege, RvR, Raid) and is a gathering center for the players who share the common purpose.

There are many ways to enjoy the game but joining Legion can be a great way of playing Aion since it gives a sense of affiliation. And Legion members can share Legion Warehouse, are entitled to wear a cloak which is a symbol of Legion, and can use a shield that has Legion emblem when they reach a required level. More importantly, being in a Legion is crucial to enjoy many different contents that are for groups.

To view information about Legion, press G key to pop-up Legion Window but this window won’t pop-up if you don’t belong to a Legion. To be a member of Legion, you can create one yourself or can join an existing Legion that others have created.

Legion Management Offices are located inside the capitol cities of each race respectively.

The Legion name is displayed together with the character’s name. Legion Tag is only used on the character’s [Name Display] on the screen. Chatting/Trade window/Bulletin Board use a character’s name, and Legion Tag is not displayed.

When Legion Commander and other eligible characters press Compose Announcement button, Announcement Message entry window will be opened. Then press YES (CONFIRM) after composing a message to save in Announcement Window, the message will be shown in the Legion members’ chatting windows.

Legion members enter their self-introductions by right-clicking their character names in Legion window, and these introduction messages can be checked by any Legion members from Legion window. Only 1 self-introduction up to 25 characters can be displayed. If a new message is created, the previous message will be automatically deleted.

It automatically records the major events that have happened to the Legion from when it was first created until it is disbanded. If you click Legion History Tab on Legion window, the Legion’s history can be viewed.

There are benefits to creating a successful Legion. You may not need much to start, but you will need to continue to recruit and grow in order to take full advantage of being in a Legion.

Your Legion level directly affects items that you can purchase and use in the Abyss.

When a member of the Legion acquires Abyss Points through quests, PvP, Fortress siege (RvR), etc., points will go toward Abyss Contribution Points. Abyss Contribution Points indicate the activities of the corresponding Legion members and the points are used in deciding to advance the Legion levels and the Legion rankings.

Even when a member withdraws from Legion or an item is acquired by consuming Abyss points, the Legion Achievement Points that’s already accumulated doesn’t decrease (Legion Achievement Points are like Legion’s experience points and Legion Achievement Points cannot be used).

As the leader of a Legion, you can invite players (Invite to Legion) and control their permissions (Set Permissions).

Currently there are two levels of membership after the leader: Centurion and Legionary. Centurion is usually reserved for the tier below the leader, but you can set permissions for both.

Should you grow tired of leadership, you can pass it along using the Entrust Brigade General Author command. This must also be done before you can leave the Legion.

You can change the Legion tag through Change Nickname.

At any time you can remove someone from your Legion using Kick from Legion.

The Self Intro button lets other players know who you are or even alternate characters you may be playing.

As Leader, if you choose Leave Legion, you will leave the Legion and pass leadership to the player that you assigned Entrust Brigade General Authorize.

Legion Warehouse is a shared area that can be used between Legion Members who have the proper permissions. In other words, when one Legion member places an item into this place, another eligible Legion member can retrieve for their use. It’s very convenient system that allows Legion members to share many consumable items such as Weapons, Armor that aren’t sealed with souls yet, and as well as kina.

Legion Warehouse can be immediately used with Legion Creation, and the rules to use is the same as general warehouses. With the higher Legion levels, they can expand more slots of Legion Warehouse.

Legion emblem is a mark that represents your Legion, and it can be exclusively used to show off your Legion to other users. A cloak is usually worn when creating or joining Legion, this Legion emblem is engraved on the cloak.

When a Legion is first created, an emblem cannot be registered and a pre-assigned common emblem is automatically used. When Legion grows and becomes level 2, you can register one of the emblems that have been prepared (this emblem cannot be further modified or edited). When Legion becomes level 3, an image file (256X256) created by the user can be registered.

 To disband Legion, click Legion Creation Officer NPC inside Legion Managing Office in each race’s capital, and select <Disband Legion> among NPC’s functions. Only the commander rank can disband the Legion and others aren’t allowed to disband the Legion. Also, please remember Disbanding Legion is not available when items or money are stored in Legion Warehouse.

Only Legion commander or soldiers with the authorized (from commander) rank and above can expel (forcefully remove) a member who they no longer wish to have as Legion members. If you right-click on the character Information window to open the pop-up window, you can expel the soldier by using <Expel> menu. Or you can use the [/Legion Expulsion] command to expel the member. You can expel a member even if you are in another zone by using [/Legion Expulsion "Player Name"].
