Character Creation 
Whether you like to modify the most minuscule details of your Character’s appearance, or really don’t mind using a default character, Aion has it covered. You will notice a myriad of options to choose from, both default, random and custom.
When you first enter the Create Character screen you will be randomly assigned a default face and body. From there, you can use the different customization features to give your character a more personal and unique feel.
Race Selection
Choose a Race and select Next
Once you choose a Race on a server, you can only create characters of that Race. In order to play a different Race you will need to play on a different server. To change your Server, select Previous.

Class Selection
Select the different Class types to read a brief description of their skills and statistics. Once you’ve made a decision, click on the desired class and press
Next.

Create Character

Character Preview
The Character Preview area allows you to rotate your character, zoom in/out, and to view the character as it would appear with no armor, starting armor, and advanced armor.

| Displays the Race and Class of your new Character |
| Type in your desired name and use the Check Name feature to see if that name is available for use. Beware: Pressing Enter after typing in a name will Create your character |
| Scroll through the different Default Faces: > Default Faces (E) > Default Faces (A) |
| Scroll through the different default Body Frames. Each Race/Sex has 6 default Body Frames. |
| There are four different voices. Press the Listen button to hear a voice. |
| > Use the left and right arrows to rotate your character. > Use the + and - buttons to zoom in or zoom out. |
| In the order of Left to Right: > Shows your character without armor > Shows your character with starting armor > Shows your character with advanced armor |
| The Customize Face tabs are available when in Face Selection. You can customize the following: > Hair Shape > Face Shapes > Decorations > Tattoos > Hair Color > Eye Color > Lip Color > Skin Color There is also a second tab available with even more customization options. | The Detailed Face Customization window provides a number of options to customize your Facial Features. For details, see our page on Face Options. |
| The Select Body Frame window provides a number of options to customize your Body Frame. For details, see our page on Body Options. |
| Random - The random button will do exactly as it says. Each of the customization windows provides this feature and it will only work for the values on that customization page. It will generate random results each time it is pressed. Reset - If you make an adjustment you can use the Reset button to return to the previous value. |
